REMOVE SALT FROM THE SURFACE OF BRICKWORKThere are 2 possible methods.
Method 1
- Scrub vigorously using a stiff bristle brush on dry brick work. This will free up the majority of salt on the surface of the bricks. Do not use a wire brush or it may damage the bricks.
- Remove any remaining sulfate crusts using a heavy wooden scraper
- Hose off with clean water
Method 2
- Wash the brickwork with clean water. If a pressure washer is used ensure the pressure is not to high or it may damage the bricks or the pointing.
- Scrub vigorously using a stiff bristle brush
- Remove any remaining sulfate crusts using a heavy wooden scraper
- Hose off with clean water
